Young Scholars Kenderton Charter School prepares K-8 students to attend and succeed academically in high school and college. Kenderton is part of the Scholar Academies network of high performing schools, which operates six schools in DC, Philadelphia and Trenton. Scholar Academies uses a high-expectations, no excuses approach where sweating the small stuff is central to success. Schools are anchored by a central commitment to reframe student expectations to include college as a path for their future. Key to Scholar Academies’ success is its focus on the people and system that make it possible to execute their model effectively.
