Our investment in Wissahickon Charter School

We wanted to make sure you heard about our latest Great Schools Fund investment: Read about the $1.5 million growth grant to expand Wissahickon Charter School in today’s Inquirer.

Next year, Wissahickon – a high-performing school serving predominantly low-income and minority families – will open a second K-8 campus, giving 500 more students access to a great education. Read more about our partnership with Wissahickon Charter here.

Thanks to more than 40 investors in our Great Schools Fund, we have invested over $21 million in the creation and expansion of dozens of schools. As a result, over 10,500 additional students in Philadelphia will be on the path to college and careers. By 2017, we expect to extend that opportunity to 50,000 young people; please contact us to get involved with this effort.
