Great Schools Fund invests in Esperanza Academy

We wanted to make sure you heard about our latest investment.  Check out the article in today’s Inquirer about the $2 million growth grant our board approved to Esperanza Academy.

We created the Great Schools Fund for opportunities like this: expanding a great school in a neighborhood that lacks enough high-quality options. Esperanza is a public school that serves predominantly minority and low-income students in North Philadelphia –17% speak English as a second language – and a majority go on to college.

Now, families in the school’s Hunting Park neighborhood will have a middle school that puts students on the track to college that much earlier. Read more about our partnership with Esperanza here.

Thanks to more than two dozen investors in our Great Schools Fund, nearly 8,000 more students in Philadelphia have access to a high-quality school like Esperanza. Please contact us if you’d like to get involved.
