We wanted to offer a quick update on GreatPhillySchools. The initial response to this new resource for Philadelphia families has been overwhelmingly positive – over 20,000 visitors to the website in the first three months. But we hope to reach thousands more families who are seeking this information, so we recently launched two big efforts to spread the word:
- In early January, we published 43,000 GreatPhillySchools print guides to provide critical information to thousands of families without internet access. We’re working with recreation centers, nonprofit organizations, CDCs, and other community organizations to distribute the guides. - At the same time, we launched an advertising campaign that will reach 300,000 people in Philadelphia with over 6 million television and radio impressions. In partnership with Comcast, we produced two television commercials that are currently airing on targeted cable stations in the city.
Ultimately, we hope to empower every family in every neighborhood in Philadelphia with the information to find the best school for their child. If you’re interested in supporting this effort, please contact us to get involved.
